If you have been around my blog long enough, you know that my favorite book to read is the Bible. The one reason I love it is because it is God’s love letter to me. It’s where He has laid out His plan for my life and is basically my guidebook for navigating through what can sometimes be difficult times.
One of my favorite things about reading the Bible is that I can read a particular verse 49 times and it might not have an impact on me. It might not speak to where I am at right at that moment. (not saying every verse has to, of course) But when I read it that 50th time, all of a sudden the words seem to jump off the page and that is when I know for a fact that God wants me to pay attention. So when I was offered the opportunity to review the new Tony Evans Study Bible, I jumped at it.
The Tony Evans Study Bible was just released by Lifeway and is in the CSB Version. For those who have not heard of its author, Dr. Tony Evans is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas and a prolific writer who has authored over 100 books and Bible Studies. He was named one of the 12 most effective preachers in the English speaking world by Baylor University. Now, he has taken all of his years and experience as a pastor and author and used those lessons to create the studies that are found in The Tony Evans Study Bible.
