What is it that you are afraid of doing?
What is holding you back?
Today’s Faithful Friday is all about gaining self-confidence. The definition of self-confidence is a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment. Without the ability to trust yourself, you will find that you can make a decision, but you will second-guess it to death. Or you won’t make a decision at all.
Both are bad options.
Self-confidence is gained when you repeatedly take steps outside of your comfort zone. You need to do those things that scare the heck out of you. You might be terrified to take the risk, but you need to do it anyway. It makes me think of this quote…
โA ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.โ
โ William G.T. Shedd
What kind of ship are you going to be? Are you going to live the rest of your days tied to the dock, or are you going to set sail on your dreams?
The choice is yours to make.
